Support for Women, Kindness for Babies

Welcome! Birth Wisdom provides a variety of services for the pregnant woman and her family, including  the postpartum period.

Some of the offerings include Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga, Pregnancy & Postpartum massageChildbirth Education classes for expecting couples (Hypnobabies), Infant Massage classes for parents, and  Maya Massage which is invaluable during the pregnancy and postpartum period, as well as all phases of a woman's life.

Our goal is to provide the mother-to-be, the new mom and her family with resources so they can better prepare physically, mentally and spiritually for the birth of their child as well as help the newborn during his or her transition into this world.

The whole family is included, and we focus on baby in various postpartum classes and during in-home visits. The center, however, is the mother: she is the one that needs the most nurturing and care throughout the pregnancy and the first year post partum so she can nurture and care for her baby.

If you are a mom, or are expecting your baby at this time, we hope you will find through our offerings something that will nurture, feed and support you & your baby throughout this amazing journey.

The sense of community you foster is so valuable - I always looked forward to my yoga day! And the strengthening of body and mind from yoga is so wonderful. I don't believe that I could have managed a drug-free delivery of Brooklyn without the concentration and breathing I practiced in your classes - it made all the difference in my feeling strong and in control during labor". ~ Kim
