It has been a busy week. Right now we are attempting to get our new little one sleep. We shall see how it goes! She is a pretty amazing little creature and we are so in love already. I was pretty nervous about having a cesarean delivery but it went much better than I expected. I have to give kudos to the doctors, nurses and staff at OHSU; they were wonderful.
We arrived at OHSU at 6:00 am Monday morning and by 9:42 am Madeline Duvall Pillsbury was born. She weighted in at 7 lbs, 14 oz; 19 inches long with lots of black hair. We were in the hospital until Thursday morning. My recovery has gone very well. After the first day of heavy pain medication all I have had to take is ibuprofen for pain and have felt pretty good.
