Anisa's Birth Story
Hi Vittoria, This is Gail...I'm here in England with Anisa and she had a wonderful baby boy, Zayd, 2 weeks ago. All went very well ...5 hours from first twinge to delivery with only about 1 hour of intense labor. She was planning on delivery and recovery at a midwifery center but had to be transported by ambulance to the hospital because the cord was around Zayd's neck.
He came so fast that they didn't make it to the hospital and she delivered in the ambulance. We were very surprised to see her AND baby get out of the back of the ambulance! Right after she delivered she told the midwife.."that wasn't so bad!" She credits prenatal yoga, pilates, swimming and lots of walking for an easy fast birth experience. She wishes she was in Portland for the post natal yoga as we have not been able to find much here geared toward post natal.
