I would like to introduce our daughter, Reid Mae Hughes, born 5/8/08 at 12:08am, 6lbs 8oz and 20 inches long. Our care providers continued to be concerned about her size throughout the end of the pregnancy. Consequently, we had scheduled an induction for the 13th of May, but Reid had other plans and came, on her own, at exactly 39 weeks. Hypnobabies was very helpful in terms of keeping me relaxed and empowered throughout a very long labor. While there were more interventions than I would have chosen, none of it marred the incredible experience of giving birth. It was thrilling! She is healthy and gaining weight like a champ. She is also delightful and sweet and, in her finer moments, looks remarkably like Yoda. We are in love! I am looking forward to getting back to yoga. Thanks for all of your support and advice through this journey. It helped us through some challenges.
