Monica's Birth StoryI have missed you at class the past few weeks... last saturday was due to the arrival of our little girl, Kira Maria. She was born at 35 (almost 36) weeks but is doing amazingly well. She was born at 6 lbs 5 oz, 19 in long on Saturday afternoon. Thankfully, it was a saturday with no traffic on 217 because we barely made it to St. V's with less than an hour and 3 pushes and she was here. I was supposed to have a little baby shower that day at 3:30 and she arrived at 3:35. I'd been having on and off contractions for a few days with them getting consistent Friday night and all morning on Saturday. I stayed in bed to try and slow it down, but as I got up to take a shower before heading to the hospital I knew we didn't have much time. It was our plan to try and do it naturally and it worked out that way, especially with little time. Thank you for helping me prepare for the big day.
