Thanks to the many prayers and wonderful support we have been blessed with a very healthy beautiful boy. AJ -- Axel (after his Great G
randpa) John (after both his Grandpas) Colenso was born Wednesday May 28th at 6:57pm weighting 8lbs 9oz at a length of 21 inches. Richelle's water broke Tuesday morning May 27th at 9:15am so since delivery was about 33 hours later, the labor was a bit stressed (Richelle with an infection/fever and AJ with high heart rate). The staff at the hospital and Richelle & I decided to use induction to start the active labor late Tue night after 12 hours of no contractions. Richelle had a rough night the 27th with contractions keeping her up all night. So in the morning we decided to do an epidural which was a wonderful decision! She was then able to get the rest she needed for the 2 hours of pushing which started at 5pm that afternoon. I am amazed at her strength & resilience through this whole process.
We are now home and trying to learn a new way of life. Richelle and I are trying to learn how to get sleep whenever we can!
