Sarah's Hypnobabies Birth Story
Hi Vittoria,
George Armando was born on October 13, 2009. 10 lbs, 1oz, 22 inches long. I am very glad I took Hypnobabies. Definitely not a panacea for me, but I felt like it helped me stay away from panic mode. (I still don't get how that woman in the video is calmly talking through crowning!! I still had to "vocalize" to say the least.)
I went into labor at 8 pm and then went to the hospital at 2 a.m. and had George at 5 a.m. in the water. I asked for drugs like 100 times, but my midwife kept having me wait a few more birthing waves to see how I felt. In the end I didn't take any drugs and I'm happy for that now. I only had to push for about 1/2 an hour this time. No pelvic separation either, so overall a much more smooth experience.
