Shonda's Birth StoryZevry Azzini Laborde was born Sat, March 15, 2008. I'd been to the hospital 3 times due to high blood pressure to be monitored. With my history of our 1st birth and similar symptoms reoccurring with this pregnancy our Ob chose an induction date. It was a relief as I was wearing down emotionally with worry about Baby and my health, if my symptoms would worsen ect. We went in on Thursday night for the induction, scared, but excited about my much anticipated VBAC. I labored for 36 hrs then he was born by cesarean.
I had dilated to 6.5, but didn't progress for many hrs, blood pressure was still high, platelets a bit low, a slight fever, positive for strep B, and of course at risk for uterine rupture. Having a 2nd cesarean is a disappointment, but a wonderful second option.

I am incredibly thankful for that. Josson's labor, birth and recovery was very traumatic. Zevry's was not. I am enjoying him so much, nursing is going incredibly well, Josson loves to hold him and kiss him. The transition is going wonderfully. Baby Bliss.
I look forward to seeing you at postnatal yoga...
